Practical AI training for owners and their teams. You finish able to use AI tools safely and confidently for the everyday jobs that eat your week, with prompts and workflows written for your business rather than general examples.
Who it’s for
Owners and managers of small businesses who keep hearing that AI will save them time, and who want a straight answer about what it actually does. No technical background is needed, and nobody is expected to write code.
It works best when the people who do the admin are in the room, not just the owner.
What we cover
- AI foundations (Core). What AI tools can and cannot do, in plain language, so everyone starts from the same place.
- Asking properly (Core). How to write prompts that get a usable answer first time, and how to fix an answer that is close but not right.
- Everyday tasks (Core). Quotes, follow-ups, enquiry replies, reports and documents, using your own examples.
- Safe use and checking output (Core). What you can and cannot put into a tool, consumer versus business accounts, and spotting when a tool is confidently wrong.
- Tools for your business (Optional). A closer look at the tools you already use or are considering, such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot.
- Building it into the week (Core). Choosing two or three jobs to change first, and, if useful, nominating someone in the team to keep it going.
Format and length
Every session is shaped around your business. Tell us what your team does day to day and we will build the content, length and group size around that. Training runs on site across Hull and East Yorkshire or online anywhere in the UK, and includes a follow-up session once you have tried it in real work.
What you leave with
- A prompt library written for your business, so nobody starts from a blank box.
- A one page checklist for safe use, to pin up or share with new starters.
- A short list of the jobs worth changing first.
- A follow-up session to sort out whatever did not go to plan.
Data privacy and safe use
Most worries about AI in a small business come down to one question: where does my information go? The training covers that properly, because getting it wrong can cause real problems with customer data.
We cover which information should never be pasted into a general AI tool, the difference between consumer and business accounts and why it matters for your data, how to handle customer details and anything commercially sensitive, and what to tell your team so the rules are clear.
This is practical guidance for running your business sensibly. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace your own data protection obligations.
Training questions
Do we need to buy anything first?
No. We start with what you already have, and if a paid tool would genuinely help we will say so and explain why.
How many people can take part?
Small groups work best, because everyone gets to try things on their own work. Tell us your team size and we will tell you what suits.
Will this replace any of my staff?
That is not what this is for. The aim is to take the repetitive admin off your team so they can get on with the work that needs a person.
What if it does not work for us?
Then we will tell you. Some jobs are not worth automating, and you are better off knowing that early than paying to find out slowly.
